I’m back! Well my reading feeling it back aha. After 5 days sitting practially read I have finally finished reading Shadows by Paula Weston. I LOVED this book. This book was as better as the first time I read it and I really can’t wait to see what will be happening in the rest of the series. 3 books to go till this book series is done and I am so excited to see what will be happening to the rest of these characters within these books.

Even though I’m not using this book for one of the Christmas Readathon Challenges, I just really wanna read this. I have been seeing this book on a lot of people’s TBRs and currently reading updates on Goodreads, so I thought I might try to get into it. At the moment I’m slowly getting into this book. I hope I can get into this book asap, let’s see if it will happen over the next few days!

I have no idea why I keep reading late in the night, but at least I’m reading ahah. I made a decision yesterday about this book. Even though this book is starting to get interesting I think I will be putting this book on hold just for the time being. I really like the world, characters and the magic. However, as this book isn’t being used for one of the challenges, I think I should be focusing on finishing the books I have yet to read for the Christmas Readathon. I think I have stopped at the right place in the book as characters have been introduced and the story is picking up. Yet I am not fully invested in the story be fully sucked in by the plot. I will try to get back to this book either right at the end of the year or in the new year. So let’s get back to the challenges tomorrow!
20th December 2017:
- Currently Reading: An Offer You Can’t Refuse by Jill Mansell
- Pages Read: 144 pages
- Stopped on page: 144 out of 410 pages
- Challenges for the book: 5, 6
I don’t know whether or not this counts as a Christmas romance but it is a contemporary that is set during the Christmas season and it is such a cute romance so I couldn’t say no to this book for this challenge. This is my favourite contemporary that I have ever read and I have always read this book during the festive season so I guess its my go to contemporary for this season. I have started to enjoy my reread for this book by reading a good amount even though wrapping presents and watching Christmas movies have been getting my attention over books during the day. I really hope to finish this book tomorrow so I can fit in the last 3 books for this readathon. Let’s see if I can do it!
21th December 2017:
- Currently Reading: An Offer You Can’t Refuse by Jill Mansell
- Pages Read: 266 pages
- Stopped on page: FINISHED!!
- Challenges for the book: 5, 6
Oh God I LOVED this book.
22th – 24th December 2017:
So I didn’t read that much over the past few days. From wrapping presents, to packing and spending time with family and friends I have had no time at all to read. I have no idea if I will be reading over the next few days. Maybe I will be reading either on Tuesday or Wednesday but we shall see. I can’t wait for Christmas. I really can’t wait for the food. Just all of the chocolate and sweets that are just waiting to be eaten. Plus let’s not forget about the Christmas dinner. Oh I can’t wait!!
RECAP OF THE WEEK:
Books completed within the week:
- Shadows by Paula Weston
- An Offer You Can’t Refuse by Jill Mansell
Challenges completed this week:
- 5 – read a book with stars on the cover
- 6 – read a christmas romance
- 9 – read an angel book
I have 3 challenges left to complete before this readathon is over. I really can’t wait to see whether or not if I finish this readathon or if I will be a challenge behind the 12. At the moment I think I will be a challenge behind the 12 because this ONE BOOK will never get off my currently reading shelf. Only one more full week left of this readathon. Let’s see if I can do it!
