It’s Christmas Eve!! Only one more sleep till Christmas! I am so excited for Christmas! For the food, for the gift giving and just for spending time with family. I love the whole feel of Christmas and I can’t believe it has arrived so soon. I really can’t wait to see what next year will bring. As soon as I saw this tag I knew I had to do it. This tag was originally made by HaileyinBookland. As soon as I saw a few different variations of this book tag I thought I might do my only one. So let’s get everyone in the festive mood by doing the Christmas Song Book Tag!
“the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear”
“You’re a mean one, Mr Grinch” – name a villainous character you couldn’t help but love
For this one, I have to say Valentine from The Mortal Instruments. Even though we don’t really see enough of his character within the series I still love him.
“All I want for Christmas is you” – which do you most hope to see under your Christmas tree?
I would have to say The Fallen Kingdom by Elizabeth May. I have been putting off to buy this book for so many months and I would love to see it underneath the wrapping paper.
“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” – name a character that overcomes major obstacles and learns to believe in themselves
Feyre from A Court of Thorns and Rose Series by Sarah J. Maas. As I have finished the first trilogy of this series this month, I seriously can’t get over how far her character has grown since book one. Throughout ACOTAR, ACOMAF and ACOWAR a lot of stuff happens and Feyre just takes it and learns from it all. I really can’t wait to see what happens to her and the rest of the Inner Circle in A Court of Frost and Starlight.
“Santa Claus is coming to town”
a) which character do you think would be on the top of the naughty list
Black Jack Randell from Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. Seriously he deserves to stay on that list for all of ETERNITY! If you have read the books or have seen the TV show adaptation of the book then you can understand my hatred with this man. He just deserves to be on it!
b) which character do you think would be on the top of the nice list
Brand from Half the World by Joe Abercrombie. He is such a lovely person and with everything that happened during Half the World he was the only good thing that was constant throughout the novel. I love Brand and I need more books about him and Thorn.Â
“Frosty the Snowman” – which book just melts your heart
After by Anna Todd. Even though this book takes on some hard topics that happen for the main characters but honestly there are some points in this book that I just love and makes my heart just melt.Â
“Feliz Navidad” – choose a book that takes place in a country other than your own
It’s quite easy for me to do this question as most books normally take place in America and I live in the UK. So I would say Die for Me by Amy Plum. This book is set in Paris.
“It’s the most wonderful time of the year” – which holiday-themed book do you use to spread the Christmas joy
I don’t really have a Christmas themed book I read during the festive period. But I do have a contemporary that is set round the Christmas time and that is An Offer You Can’t Refuse by Jill Mansell.Â
“Sleigh Ride” – which fictional character would you choose to spend the holidays with (don’t have to be a love interest).
I would have to say Jules from Die for Me Trilogy by Amy Plum. He is the perfect one to make the Christmas season full of laughs. He is like the best friend a girl can have and I just wish I have a Jules.
“Baby, it’s cold outside” – which book that you didn’t like would you sacrifice Â
The Seventh Decimate by Stephen R. Donaldson. This book was such a disappointment this year. I wouldn’t mind showing this book the fire to keep myself warm.Â
“Do you hear what I hear?” – which book do you think everyone should read?
I have to say The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. This book was so amazing! and I am so happy I read it this year.Â
So that is my version of the Christmas Song Book Tag. This tag was so much fun to do!! While writing tag I was definitely singing some of the songs each time I got to a different question. It definitely got me in the mood for Christmas.Â
