Summer flings are something that can be seen in tv shows and movies but can also be seen in books. As it’s my 5 year anniversary with my boyfriend, I thought to showcase some of my favourite couples within them.
I have been thinking of doing this sort of post for like a year but since this year our anniversary is the big 5, I thought why not use this as a way to celebrate it? Here are my top 5 couples within books, movies and tv shows.
“Summer Flings” I love:
Claire and Jamie – Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
Jamie and Claire are definitely my number 1 OTP. They are honestly so amazing together. The books and the TV show just shows that they are perfect for one another even though they go through so much together.
Jim and Pam – The Office US
After enjoying The Office US, the romance that blooms between Jim and Pam definitely adds something to the series.
Ian and Wanda – The Host by Stephanie Meyer
Like in most books, there is always a love triangle. In The Host, it was more like a square. But within this square, I loved the pairing of Ian and Wanda. They just work with one another and they are just so cute and ugh so good together.
Rory and Jess – The Gilmore Girls
Even though within this TV, there is a huge debate and who Rory should have said with. You were either team Dean, Jess or Logan. If you didn’t know, obvs I am Team Jess. I love Rory and Jess together, especially with the fact that Jess understands the book side of everything. Don’t get me wrong, he treats Rory like crap but I still love him.
Kate and Vincent – Die for Me by Amy Plum
I love this couple, and I’m not just saying this because it is my all-time favourite book. The whole thing between Kate and Vincent just makes me so happy and just things that happen throughout the whole series just makes my heart flutter. They’re just so amazing. I love them
So those are my top couples within books, tv shows and movies. What are your favourites? Make sure you check out tomorrow for my next prompt for Bookending Summer!
till next time readers!

Ian and Wanda forever <3 I get why you said a love square as well. I shipped them so hard. The movie gif made me feel a bit queasy because I hate the adaption, but the book is so good and powerful 😀 I also like Jim and Pam but I have only watched two seasons?? So probably more happens 😛

I actually enjoyed the movie adaption? Obviously not as much as the book but I think they did well. Also, you should try and watch more! You need to understand why they are such an amazing pairing!

OKAY. SO. I’M DEFINITELY WATCHING THE OUTLANDER!! I’ve been hearing so much about it and this definitely seals it for me! Also I totally shipped Ian and Wanda and triangle square sounds right 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love your choices! I haven’t read Amy Plum, but I have heard quite a bit about the series. I should probably check it out. ❤️❤️

Lovely post! I absolutely adore Pam and Jim from the author! It’s so sweet seeing how their relationship develops throughout the show! I haven’t finished Gilmore Girls yet, so I’m not sure how I’ll feel about Jess, but it’s nice to hear that he understand the book side of things! <3

I’m Team Logan definitely but I also sort of loved Rory and Jess – they had this amazing chemistry and the way they talked and discussed books <3

I still need to read and watch Outlander but omg Rory and Jess haha I root for them too, I can’t help it. As much as I loved her and Dean, in the beginning, I couldn’t help but switch to team Jess!
