I am back again with another Blogger Award! I was nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award by Rachael @ Beach Bookworm. I love Rachael’s blog. It is filled with so many tags and her own content she creates is amazing. So thank you, Rachael, for nominating for this award!

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog
2. Write a post to show your award
3. Give a brief story of how your blog started
4. Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers
5. Select 15 other bloggers you want to give this award to
6. Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them and provide the link to the post you created.
How The Little Booknerds in the Corner Started:
Originally I created The Little Booknerds in the Corner back in 2015. But instead of using WordPress, I used Blogger to host my blog. After a few months, I decided it wasn’t really going the way I wanted to, due to the designing and the things I want to write about, and closed down the site. To this day, I don’t regret my choice in doing this. I still think it was a right decision for me to do that. Over the next 2 years, I didn’t think about blogging.
Fast forward to January 2017, I decided to create this blog with my friend Lara. Kept the name because I think it allows other booknerds to come together instead of just having the singular. Even though the name is a mouth full (especially when I was trying to shorten it for Twitter and Instagram), I think the blog name is just perfect for the blog and what I want. Now after over a year this blog is still here!
Advice for New Bloggers:
Don’t give up on your blog
Starting up a blog is a lot of hard work and if you have an expectation to get massive amounts followings straight away then you will not get the result you want. Blogging is hard, especially for newbies. Just make sure you continue it even though you aren’t seeing the results you want/expect. Everyone start’s off with zero followers/subscribers. Keep working hard at it then you will be successful! Practice makes perfect.
Get the word out about your blog as much as you can
Join every group on different social media groups (Facebook, Twitter, etc) and Goodreads as much as you can and spread the word out about your blog. The more you cover yourself the more traffic will come into your blog and that could mean more followers and same sort of people coming onto your website.

Thank you so much Amy! That’s really awesome advice for new bloggers, I only started at the beginning of this year and went in expecting no followers whatsoever, so every time I get one it’s like “Me? Really?? Thank you!!” – I’ll get on this right after I finish the assignment I’m totally procrastinating from right now!

Good advice. I find timing an aspect with my blog, I can never think of posts in advance so I’m rushing to get them written. I too started on blogger but a lot of people were on WordPress and I prefered the look of those blogs so I changed and I don’t regret it. I enjoy blogging and hope people enjoy what I write, it’s something that just happened and I didn’t plan. That’s always the best. I don’t share on Facebook, I haven’t told my coworkers and they’re all on Facebook. Two knew but that’s it, I’m not very good at boasting about things, I guess being an introvert isn’t helpful if you want to promote your blog but I have done a lot a guest posts, tours and had guest posts on my blog this month so it’s been good. Hopefully I can keep it going and keep steadily growing. Best of luck
