This week has been so much fun. I finished my 71 book this year and finally realised that I have been missing out on this that are both shocking and amazing. Now that then first full week of the December here is my weeks wrap up for this readathon. I love this readathon and this week has been a good week of reading. Even though there were days I didn’t read anything, I still think it has been an alright week.

- Currently Reading: A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
- Pages Read: 0 pages
- Stopped on page: 483 out of 699 pages

So I didn’t read again today. I just feel so sad about this fact.As I didn’t read I went out with my friend for dinner and bowling. Had a brilliant time as we went to Waterstones and I bought 5 books with a gift card another friend bought me. I love going to Waterstones. It is definitely one of my favourite book stores here in the UK. If you ever come to London you should definitely check out the Piccadilly Circus Waterstones. Five floors of bookness is amazing. EVERYONE should experience it. I will hopefully read tomorrow, maybe. I hope I do….

Well I finished finished A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas. After it sitting on my shelf since it came out in May I have finished it. Now I can finally read reviews of this book without being spoiled. I loved it. Actually saying that I loved it could be an understatement. I really really loved it. Now I just have to wait until May till the novella comes out. I really can’t wait till it comes out!
Now on to what I’m currently reading. After I finished ACOWAR, I started Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff. I am so excited to read this book as I loved Nevernight and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the series continues!

- Pages Read: 64 pages
- Stopped on page: 64 out of 421 pages

I originally thought this book would be used for the 1st challenge (read a white book) but the cover is more black than white so I couldn’t really class it for challenge number 1. I already have decided what book I will be using for this challenge so hopefully in the next few days you will be seeing what that book will be!

My God this book. I’m enjoying this! I don’t know why, but I am always reading late during the night which means I read much during the day. But honestly this book is getting so good. I love the world within this series and especially with the things that are currently happening in Godsgrave. There are major feels to Spartacus and the ways the Romans kept slaves by making them fight within the arena. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the book goes!!
7th December 2017:
- Currently Reading: Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff
- Pages Read: 35 pages
- Stopped on page: 275 out of 421 pages
- Challenges for the book: 12
Yea I didn’t read that much of this today. Another night owl reader night. I still don’t understand why I read so little of this today. I didn’t really do anything today so I’m confused how I only read 35 pages. But I did start a new book even though I’m reading Godsgrave. I’m going out tomorrow and will be away for the weekend so I don’t really want to bring a massive hardcover book with me. I will try to finish part 2 of this book before I leave for the weekend. But until then I will be starting the book that is smaller and lighter than Godsgrave.
- Currently Reading: Nimona by Noelle Stevenson
- Pages Read: 53 pages
- Stopped on page: 53 out of 262 pages
- Challenges for the book: 11
I have honestly been wanting to read ever since this hit the shelves and I have been seeing it on so many people’s currently reading shelves. This has been on my TBR for far too long now and I have finally got myself a copy AND is finally reading it. The humour within the pages I have read made me laugh and I can’t wait to see how the characters journey continues.

So I didn’t read any of this today. I love this world but it’s so awkward to carry on a massive hardcover book around. Sadly I’m away for this weekend so I won’t be able to read anything today. I hope to pick this up again on Sunday night so check up on the 10th Dec to check my updates on Godsgrave.

I loved this book. I can understand why so many people have gone crazy about this book. Even though I would have thought something different with the ending, I still love the way it ended. I think the way the twists and turns of this novel made the story very unique and enjoyable for all readers. I loved the humour between all of the characters. I love Nimona’s character as well. I really can’t wait to see the other things Noelle Stevenson writes in the future. I really can’t wait to see!
- Currently Reading: Frostblood by Elly Blake
- Pages Read: 100 pages
- Stopped on page: 100 out of 371 pages
- Challenges for the book: 1
This book seems like it is suffering from YA tropes that I think every starting novel suffers from. Even though the tropes are there, I am still excited to see how this story pans out for all of the characters. I think the main thing I am expecting from this book is to see how different people use the different bloods use their powers.

I miss this book. I am currently trying to get through Frostblood but all I want to do is go back to Mia and the other characters. I really hope to get back to this book tomorrow we shall see. I really can’t wait to see what happens in the rest of the novel!!

Oh this book. I love the way this book is going. I love everything that’s happened with the characters throughout the book I have read. Even though it does follow tropes of other YA novels, I feel like it will ddiffer from them within the last 100 pages of the book. I will definitely finish this book tomorrow and I can’t wait till I do. I can definitely see why so many people have gone crazy about this book.
10th December 2017:
- Currently Reading: Frostblood by Elly Blake
- Pages Read: 98 pages
- Stopped on page: FINISHED!
- Challenges for the book: 1
Oh wow. I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. I knew the ending would be like that but honestly it happened a lot differently than I actually thought it was. I am pleased to say that I understand this hype with this book and world. I really can’t wait to see how the consequences of what Ruby did pans out in the next book. Just waiting for Fireblood and Nightblood comes out!
- Currently Reading: Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff
- Pages Read: 26 pages
- Stopped on page: 301 out of 421 pages
- Challenges for the book: 12
So even though I have only read 26 pages for Godsgrave, at least I read some. I have only 120 pages left of this book and I really hope I can finish this tomorrow. I am so tired right now and The Crown is calling my name so I think I will just put down Godsgrave and pick it up tomorrow. I really can’t wait till I can finish this beauty!!!
RECAP OF THE WEEK:
Books completed within the week:
- A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
- Nimona by Noelle Stevenson
- Frostblood by Elly Blake
Challenges completed this week:
- 1 – read a white book
- 4 – read a book you can make the word CHRISTMAS out of the title (can used the author’s name if you can’t out of the title)
- 7 – read a book you have been putting off to read for the entire year
- 8 – read an unread 2017 release
- 11 – read a book that has been on your TBR since last Christmas
So that’s my weeks wrap up done. I really like doing this sort of format even though it would be better if I posted them daily but I think I would keep with this format for the rest of the readathon. I can’t wait to see how much reading I can do in the next week! I think I have my TBR sorted for the next few days. Now if I stick to it that is another thing.
I can’t believe I have completed 5 out of the 12 challenges this week. With only completing 3 books, I might try to not double up the remaining challenges but I’ll see what I’m going to do in the next few days. Now only 7 remaining to be completed within the next 3 weeks! Let’s see if it can be done!
If you like what you see, don’t forget to hit the like button and follow button to get updates on when a new post appears. I post normally every Tuesday and Friday. I hope you enjoy!
Till then readers!
