How is it at the end of November? This month has flown by. Honestly this entire year has flown by, I honestly don’t understand how 2017 is done and 2018 is only a month away. I’m back again with a monthly recommends post to finish off the last full week of November 2017.
The topic for this month is ‘books I’m thankful for’. As it is the day after US Thanksgiving, I thought I might as well post this post up on Black Friday. We don’t really have Black Friday in the UK. Stores do big sales but its not as crazy as it is in America. I would want to experience the rush of Black Friday in America but then again would I want to experience it? Might have the rethink that thought.
For this topic we had four guidelines we had to base our books choices on. These were: “books that hold a special meaning to you, no matter the genre; books that made you the reader that you are; books that got you through a hard time; books that have a happy memory tied to them“. Just by looking my list I have more books for one of the topic then the others. I have no idea how I’m going to be setting this recommendation out as there are four challenges to do, so I will just put it all together and see how that goes. Lets start these recommendations!!
- Knife by R.J Anderson
- Die for Me by Amy Plum
- The Host by Stephanie Meyer
- Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr
- The Selection by Kiera Cass
- Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
- The Falconer by Elizabeth May
- Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
- Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
- An Offer You Can’t Refuse by Jill Mansell
- After by Anna Todd
- Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman
- Wintersong by S. Jae Jones
- An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
- Red Rising by Pierce Brown
- The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson
So that’s all of the books I am thankful for in my life. I don’t know where I would be without books. I have been a reader for 7 years now and within those years so much has happened. So many memories, hardships and times are connected with stories that we read. I can honestly say reading has become a thing I never want to give up on.
What books are you most thankful for? Comment below and let me know. If any of these books are on your list, comment below and let me know as well.
