It is finally time to do my first Christmas Readathon wrap up! This was one hell of a week for the first week of the readathon! Last year I really liked doing little recaps on how much reading I did per day, what the book the challenge was for and a little recap on how I’m feeling about the book and what I did during the day. So here is the first one for this past week!
1st December 2018:
- Currently Reading: The Fallen Kingdom by Elizabeth May
- Pages Read: 261 pages
- Challenges for the book: 3, 6, 10
- Current Reading State: Currently Reading
Yea this was a great day. Even though I was at the pub for some of it and was out for most of the day I still read a lot of this book. I love this world and I’m so scared to finish this book tomorrow to say goodbye to all of these characters. I really hope nothing bad happens but I can just feel something is going to happen. This book has taken such a different tone than the two other books and it’s just so good.
2nd December 2018:
- Currently Reading: The Fallen Kingdom by Elizabeth May
- Pages Read: 128 pages
- Challenges for the book: 3, 6, 10
- Current Reading State: Completed
Why have I been putting off this book for so long!!! It has made me feel so much. Things happened in this book that made me cry sad and happy tears. I’m just so happy I have finally finished this series. Now I just need to wait and see what other books Elizabeth May releases! A full review of this book will come in the new year!
- Currently Reading: The Caged Queen by Kristen Ciccarelli
- Pages Read: 122 pages
- Challenges for the book: 1, 6
- Current Reading State: Currently Reading
This book is a lot better than I thought it would be! I loved The Last Namsara when I read it last year and I’m so excited to see what happens after it. Love the world and the characters. Can’t wait to see what will happen in the rest of the book.
3rd December 2018:
- Currently Reading: The Caged Queen by Kristen Ciccarelli
- Pages Read: 257
- Challenges for the book: 1, 6
- Current Reading State: Completed
Yea I finished this book. It was awesome. Will be reviewing this bad boy in the new year!
- Currently Reading: The Gire of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson
- Pages Read: 10
- Challenges for the book: 6, 11
- Current Reading State: Currently Reading
Even though I shouldn’t really count as this book ‘started’ as I didn’t even finish a chapter. I still started this book after I finished reading The Caged Queen. I have heard a lot about this book and I’m excited to see what I think about this book. Hopefully, I can read a lot of this book tomorrow!
4th December 2018:
- Currently Reading: The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson
- Pages Read: 161
- Challenges for the book: 6, 11
- Current Reading State: Currently Reading
This book is actually so much better than I thought it would be. Very interesting to see the author picking a different sort of main character in this book. Can’t wait to see what happens to these characters later on.
5th December 2018:
- Currently Reading: The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson
- Pages Read: 186
- Challenges for the book: 6, 11
- Current Reading State: Currently Reading
This book is getting GOOOOOD! Was so tired before the end of the day so wasn’t able to complete it but I’m excited too!
6th December 2018:
- Currently Reading: The Girl of Fire and Thorns
- Pages Read: 66
- Challenges for the book: 6, 11
- Current Reading State: Completed
Finally, this book is completed! This book was unlike anything I have read this year. Even though I thought it was a YA that follows a simple girl getting powers and then saving everyone. But this book was so much more. The different type of relationships within this book makes it more and the history in it was amazing. Really need to get my hands on the rest of the series!
- Currently Reading: The Broken Ones by Danielle L. Jensen
- Pages Read: 100
- Challenges for the book: 2, 3
- Current Reading State: Currently Reading
This book is going to break me. I know this because I can just see myself getting invested into some of these characters then things are going to happen. I love seeing Tristan, Marc and the others while they’re younger. Even though we see some of the plotting within the rest of the series it’s interesting to see how it all started. Can’t wait to see what happens I the rest of the book.
7th December 2018:
- Currently Reading: The Broken Ones by Danielle L. Jensen
- Pages Read: 100
- Challenges for the book: 2, 3
- Current Reading State: Currently Reading
I should have finished this book! I have 78 pages left yet it’s still not finished. The story of this book is good. Especially seeing how some of the characters were before The Stolen Songbird and seeing how certain things happened. Even though I kinda know what’s going to happen to some of the characters by the end, I’m still interested to see what happens to them.

Great job in the readathon!! I love how you format this all too. I need to do better about that. I’m going to keep your blog in mind next time I participate in one (I’m pretty much addicted to RAT’s so it won’t be long 😛 )
