I’m here with another book tag! I seem to be doing these a lot more now aha, but they’re fun and I seem to be being tagged in a lot of them. So here they are.
So today I am doing the 20 questions book tag! I saw this over on Ashley Rae’s blog and I thought I should do it. I love Ashley Rae’s blog. I do admire the work she puts in her blog. Everyone should definitely check it out!
1. How many books are too many books in a series?
I would say more than 6 books. I have books with 30 odd books and I’m like ‘hell no’. I have heard a lot of things about book series like those that the most recent books are flat and boring.Â
2. How do you feel about cliffhangers?
Meh. I don’t know. I feel okay about cliffhangers. Sometimes they aren’t needed and sometimes they just flop. It’s amazing when the cliffhanger is perfect and just makes you want to read the next books in the series. But sometimes they just don’t work.Â
3. Hardcopy or paperback?
Paperback. Don’t get me wrong, I love the look of hardbacks but they aren’t very practical. I would always stick with paperbacks.Â
4. Favourite Book?
Die for Me by Amy Plum.
5. Least Favourite Book?
Fifty Shades of Grey by E. L. James
6. Love Triangles, yes or no?
Depends on the book. I am not really a big fan of them but when they are done well then YAAAASSSSS, I love them. But sometimes they aren’t needed and the author is chucking them in. I love them when they’re done well and need if they aren’t then no.Â
7. The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?
This year I haven’t started and never finished any books so I’m going to leave this one blank.
8. A book you’re currently reading?
Currently, I am reading The Valiant by Lesley Livingston
9. Last book you recommended to someone?
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I’m not surprised at this answer to be honest haha.
10. Oldest book you’re read (Publication date)?
I have no idea for this one.Â
11. Newest book you’ve read (Publication date)?
To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo.
12. Favourite author?
SO HARD! Top three; Brandon Sanderson, John Gwynne, and Joe Abercrombie
13. Buying books or borrowing books?
Buying books. I have had an experience of borrowing books and borrow exchange and it just didn’t work out. Buying books is the only method for me aha.Â
14. A book you dislike that everyone else seems to love?
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. Everyone I know and follow seemed to love this book. I just found it okay. Not worth the hype in my opinion.
15. Bookmarks or dog-ears?
Bookmarks; can’t stand doing dog-ears.
16. A book you can always re-read?
Die for Me by Amy Plum. I love this book so much. I can read this book anytime and always fall in love with them.Â
17. Can you read while listening to music?
Yes! I don’t know why but reading while listening to music somehow makes it better. Sometimes when a song comes on it fits so well with what is currently happening in the book.Â
18. One POV or multiple POV’s?
Depends on the genre of the book. For example, fantasy multiple perspectives is a must but sometimes I do like it when it’s in one point of view.Â
19 Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?
Depends on the book and what is happening with me. As I work during the weekdays it’s quite hard to read a book in one sitting when I need to go to work or sleep. I miss reading a whole book in one sitting. I haven’t done it in so long.Â
20. Who do you tag?
I tag George @ Buried in Book, Heather @ The Frozen Book Blog and any else who wants to do this tag!
So that is my version of 20 Questions book tag. This tag was so much fun to do!! Like another tag, I loved it. See you in my next post!

Some people don’t! I remember I was actually reading on the train into work yesterday and while I was reading my music just made this scene amazing! I loved it

#17: me too! I actually need background music or I can’t focus as well.

Dog ears are like my pet hate and I totally agree about the number of books in a series

Don’t hate me – but I have never heard of Die for Me by Amy Plum, although I feel rather strongly that cliffhangers are a vile and despicable pox and those who write them should be given a swift kick!

I suggest you should go on Goodreads to check it out. It’s AMAZING! It’s unlike any paranormal out there, for example the author actually created her own paranormal creature instead of going with the generic ones (i.e. vampires).
Sometimes I’m in the middle with cliffhangers. Like I hate them when I get to them BUT I think they can be done very smartly.

Great questions!
I sometimes get easily distracted, but most days I love the read with background music. And dog-ears are the worst.. I couldn’t do that to my books.

I agree about series. I love them, but I don’t want them to go on forever! They usually get boring since there’s usually no actual end goal in sight. And you’re one of the few other bloggers I’ve seen who also likes listening to music while reading! I completely agree that having the right songs playing can really enhance the emotion and feel of the book!

You make a good point about the triangle. It’s just become such a commonplace in books I don’t even think about it.

I have to agree with the series because sometimes they can go on forever. It’s a few right now that I like that haven’t ended yet. I can listen to music while reading too, it helps me block out other distractions.

Great tag – I’m not a fifty shades fan either.
