I don’t know how you can read two at a time, my pea brain would probably confuse them 😉

Normally I can’t do it. But I’m in a slumpy feel with Ruin, I don’t really want to force myself to read it while I could be reading something else.
Plus there is a massive difference in the setting, characters and with the story between the two. If these factors were to be too similar, for example, if I read a Brandon Sanderson book alongside Ruin, then I would get confused between the books. But as one is YA and the other isn’t, I can get through both at the same time.

I am reading Sinner by Christopher Graves, my first horror book and I have to say that I haven’t slept well for the past few nights due to nightmares! I am a scaredy cat, this I know!

Oh god, and that is why I don’t read horror stories. Hope you sleep better soon!

I really need to get to the Rebel of the Sands trilogy. I’ve heard great things about it. Good luck with your current reads!!!

I highly recommend them. I tried to read Rebel of the Sands when it came out in 2016 but I didn’t like it so it’s bee on my TBR unread for 2 years before I decided to pick it up again. Now I love the story and don’t want it to end!
Hope you pick it up soon!

What a great idea for a post. I usually have five or six books going at one time, so it would also be a good way for me to help keep track of them. I can’t wait to follow you along with this series.

I enjoyed this post and I might need to borrow your idea. Right now I’ve reading The Boy and His Ribbon by Pepper Winters and Licks by Kelly Siskind. I wouldn’t usually read two, but the first book left me emotionally spent at about 30%. So there was no way I’d be able to power through and read it as quickly as I usually would.

Take it! I’m in the same boat with Ruin, I don’t normally read two books at the same time but I’m in a lil slump. Good luck with your reads!

I haven’t heard of either of these books. I don’t know what I’d recommend you read next. I just got Children of Blood and Bone but I probably won’t get it for awhile. I just started The Space Between Us, a contemporary romance.

Thanks for the recommendation, I’m not really contemporary romance person. But thank you anyway. I have got Children of Blood and Bone, but I have no idea when I will get it.

I hope Ruin goes a bit quicker for you, but that’s great you’re loving Alwyn’s series. I’m currently reading about four different books – two are fiction and fiction are non-fiction though.
