I get mad when new books arrive with creased spines. I don’t know why since the minute I get to reading the book I’m cracking that spine instantly. I feel like if I didn’t personally get to do it I was somehow denied lol

I’m kinda OCD with my books. I prefer them to look untouched. Lol.

Unbroken. Although I do love when a book feels read.

I hate when I buy a new book and its blemished, if I did it that is one thing, but not to get it like that. I commute so sometimes by books get a bit banged up and if they are one of my favorites I have been known to rebuy them and gift the one I read to someone else. 🙂

It’s strange because when I order new books I’m super protective over them but then when I order used books I love the fact they look so used…

Oh, gosh I don’t even remember the last “real” book I read! I’ve been strictly e-reader for the last 8 or so years.

I am happy to buy 2nd hand books so a little use is often evident. I never intentionally crease but a little is inevitable with me.

Unbroken spines. They just look nicer on the shelf that way. And broken spines are awkward to read because the pages are all clumped on one side or the other of the broken spine.

I don’t think about it, really. I can tell you though from working in a library, books fall apart very fast once the spine is broken.
