“I don’t mind being a moth. I would probably start eating silk if it meant that I could fly.” – The Winners Crime by Marie Rutkoski
First things first, this book and this series will be the end of me. My heart is currently flipping in my chest.
The Winner’s Crime was the perfect sequel. I LOVED IT and I HATED IT and then I LOVED IT EVEN MORE!
I adore Kestrel. She is an amazing example for women. She is smart, intelligent, caring, beautiful and I can really go on like this whole day. She was even more perfect in this book.
However, the most groundbreaking part of this book for me was Arin *crying eyes*. Ugh, Arin and Kestrel in this book killed me with a thousand stabs to heart! I think I may be having a nervous breakdown because of that duo. I do not think that I can express my emotions without giving out any spoilers, therefore, I’ll just say that I need The Winners Kiss so bad. I don’t think that I will be able to sleep in peace until I finish this series and have a happy ending. Until then I will be crying on the floor.
We also have this Ronan & Jess situation. I thought they would be more understanding since they were Kestrel‘s friend for so long, but I was wrong. They had some true points but Kestrel didn’t deserve the way they treated her in this book. I’m sorry but I genuinely don’t really care about those two anymore.
Overall I’m not in a healthy emotional state so I’ll just go and cry my eyes out.
”Book two of the dazzling Winner’s Trilogy is a fight to the death as Kestrel risks betrayal of country for love.”
I’M IN A GLASS CASE OF EMOTION.
