“Me Before You” is a love story and a family story, but above all, it’s a story of the bravery and sustained effort needed to redirect the path of a life once it’s been pushed off course.”
“I will never, ever regret the things I’ve done. Because most days, all you have are places in your memory that you can go to.” – Jojo Moyes
5 bucket of tears
Oh boy, I was so wrong about this book. For months and months, I denied reading this book. I didn’t want to read another juicy love story that ends up one of them somehow dying. BUT this book was nothing like it.
Right from the page one I was hooked. Lou was a very relatable and amazing character. I felt like it was me living inside the pages.
I honestly am out of words. The book was beautifully written. Jojo Moyes really knows how to write a bloody perfect book. The setting was well-chosen and the characters were very well written.
I can write about the characters and the settings whole day but I don’t want to do that nor you’d want to read that.
What I want to say in this review is that this book opened my eyes and changed me in a way that I’ll be forever grateful.
I know some people are mad because of that ending but I loved it and I wouldn’t want it to end it in any other way.
Can’t wait to go and see the movie. I’m sure two of my favorite actors will make me cry like hell.
