Hi Readers, *waves*, long time no see! I think you must have realised I completely disappeared for the past 2/3 months. After seeing that my last blog post was published on the 10th August I made a decision to put everything on hold for my blog while I’m trying to finish my apprenticeship coursework. But now that the end is kinda coming up close (maybe), I thought it might be the right time to come back and get back in the blogging thing. So here is where I have been over the past few months and everything that has happened!
Goodreads Reading Challenge Completed:
So on the 31st August, I finally completed my Goodreads Reading Goal of 60 books to be read within 2018. I know this is the lowest reading challenge I set myself when comparing it to the other ones I have done. But I knew I wouldn’t have that much time to read throughout this year.
After a few months of completing this challenge I have thought about possibly increasing it between 80 to 100 books, but then my huge slumpish feeling came and I read either 1 or 2 books per month. This was down to work and doing all of my coursework and exams for my apprenticeship. I have still kept my reading challenge 60 books because I know if another of those moods come again it will affect me a lot. But as the end is coming I might increase it to 80 (currently have read 71 books this year), but I’ll see how I feel over the next few days.
Personal Reading Challenges Left Behind:
At the start of the year, I made 15 different individual reading challenges for me to complete by the end of the year. However, when the book slump feeling hit, I gave up with them. I did make the decision to reuse the challenges I have yet to complete for my reading challenges for 2019.
Books Everywhere:
Even though I wasn’t in a blogging mood, I was definitely in a book buying mood. Even though it was hard to buy books (so many other troubles) I still managed to get a wide range of different reads throughout the months. There are still lots of books I have yet to read while my blog blackout so I will hopefully do a big haul of the books I got within this time soon! I can’t wait to show them to you.
Planning for Christmas Readathon, Bookend Events, and Other Things:
So many things are happening within the next month and so. I’m still planning on doing my Christmas Readathon. Aside from doing that, this year I will also be taking part in the Bookend Events AND planning to join with a fellow book blogger and run a book club with her.
I am planning on doing a lot of things within the next few months and I will be posting more in-depth posts about each of these things and I really can’t wait to do it. So make sure you keep your eyes peeled about those.
My first in-depth post will be about my Christmas readathon and can I just say I have made all of the 12 challenges for this years one and I’m so excited to share them to you guys. So definitely keep your eyes peeled for that post soon!
Plans for Meet the Blogger:
Even though so much has happened while I was away, I will still be carrying on my segment of Meet the Blogger which I will be talking to a wide range of bloggers from around the globe. If you would be like to involved in my segment contact me and I will get back to you on what you have to do.
I know there are a few people who have already answered and are waiting for their post to be posted, please note I’m still trying to get back into book blogging so please be patient with me and when I schedule in your Meet the Blogger post.
There has been a lot of things that happened between the time I left blogging and now. But if I said everything that happened within this blog post, this blog post would be bigger than it is at the moment. I have no idea when I will be back fully, hopefully within the next few weeks, but once I am I will make sure to make it fun. I know the events happening in December will allow me to catch up on the many blog posts I missed out during the time I was away and it will allow me to read a lot.
I am so excited until I can finally get back into blogging. I know I won’t fully be back until around the New Year, but I can’t wait to involved in this community again!
Don’t worry guys, I will be back soon 😉

Congrats on completing the challenge! And on being back 🙂 I know what you mean, I’ve also been minimizing my blogging time. Ultimately you’ve got to find the balance that feels comfortable and basically doesn’t kill your personal life 😀 it’s not easy! But you’ll find it 🙂 welcome back!

Thank you Ava! Honestly Idk where to start this all this again. I have shorter days this week which means writing blog will hopefully happen. I am so excited and I can’t wait to be back fully soon.

One good thing that I’ve found handy is starting a note app on the phone. Like Google Keep or Google Docs, anything you can copy paste straight to the computer when you open it. So you can write posts while you’re on the bus or something 🙂
