I saw this book tag over on Marta’s book blog and it looked like so much fun. As it is Valentine’s day, I thought I could do some romantic post but this looked like an easier option to celebrate this day. The Valentine’s Book tag was created by Taiwo @Stuffed Shelves, you should check out her blog it’s amazing
So let’s get this book tag started!
QUESTIONS:
1. What book(s) have you been given as a gift that you loved?
There has been a lot so here are some that I received in 2017. Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen, A Promise of Fire by Amanda Bouchett, A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness, Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence, The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N. K. Jemisin and Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson.
2. What book(s) would you like to give as a gift to someone else?
I would give The Falconer by Elizabeth May, The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson, The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton.
3. If you could gift a random person any bookish item, what would it be?
A gift card to Waterstones obviously. And maybe a list of my favourite books you can get from Waterstones with it aha.
4. If you could gift a random person any non-bookish item, what would it be?
I would say a box of chocolates. What could go wrong with that? Obviously, it isn’t a book but chocolate is the best.
5. What do you say when a person gives you a gift you don’t like?
Normally, my face tells a lot. So I don’t really say anything, my face does it by itself aha.
6. Mention a book based around Valentine’s Day.
I have nothing for this. I have very little contemporaries that could be used. Even though this isn’t based near Valentines, I would say An Offer You Can’t Refuse by Jill Mansell.
7. Mention any two tips for blogging as a gift to other bloggers and to those who may want to start a blog.
For this, I would have to say make sure you have a clear schedule for when you post your posts. In the past, on my first ever blog (which I deleted after 6 months), I have no clear structure to it. I posted posts with a lot of time apart from each post. With the structure I have no, I’m happy with everything.
Another tip I would say is to look at other bloggers for inspiration if you are having trouble thinking of content. Try to follow as many book bloggers to get this and obviously support them as they go through a similar thing to you.
8. Link to some posts by other bloggers that you loved or were very helpful.
I really like Ashley’s blog @ ThriftyBibliophile. I love her blog. All of the content on her blog is entertaining for any reader of hers. How she has the time to keep her blog up-to-date AND look after 2 kids is a lot of work. Hopefully, the secret of how she does it will come out soon.
All of the bloggers I have tagged down below has helped me in a way they might not even know. It’s strange how something like blogging can help people you haven’t met before. You should all check out these bloggers, it’s an amazing community!-
Who do you tag?
I tag:
- Ashley’s @ ThriftyBibliophile
- George @ Buried in Books
- Jordanna @ Bloodthirsty Little Beasts
- Bree @ Perpetual Fangirl
If you like what you see, don’t forget to hit the like button and follow button to get updates on when a new post appears. I post normally every Tuesday and Friday. I hope you enjoy!
Till then readers!

Lovely answers!! Now I feel jealous that I haven’t thought about chocolate when doing this tag because it really is the best non-bookish gift ever! Also, The Belles is an incredible book to gift, I can’t wait to read that book! *heart eyes*

Waterstone’s is so expensive! I can’t remember the last time I actually bought a new book… perhaps because there’s an AMAZING used bookstore chain back home that I did a haul at recently and my auntie gives me her books when she’s done! Not to mention, I’ve been seriously under-using the library.
