“No matter what happens, no matter who turns on me, no matter what pompous swine thinks he has power over me, I am still me. I will always be me.” – Snow like Ashes by Sara Raasch
First, of, I wanna start this review by saying how amazing the cover of the book is. The cover is so beautiful and cool, one of the best I’ve seen in a while!
I really enjoyed reading this book and it really was a lightning-fast tale as it was said in the back cover.
I really liked the characters and the world that was created in the book. It was well developed and well written.
Meira was such a cool protagonist! I loved her character more and more as the book goes on. Mather was okay as well, he could’ve been better. Some of his decisions drove me MAD. Hopefully, he will have character development as the series go on. Theron *heart eyes*, he is my little cinnamon roll. He was really kind, sweet and understanding.
Other characters were well developed as well, so five stars for that cast!
Sadly I have little problems with this book. PREDICTABLE. If I was given a word to choose to describe this book I’d choose that. I already knew where the plot was going right from chapter 3. It was still an enjoyable read so I didn’t mind that a lot.
My second problem is (this is a general problem that I have in books), LOVE TRIANGLE. Just No. I hate when love triangles occur in fantasy books. The love triangle in this book was very well written so I have no words for it, I just don’t want this triangle to be a huge problem as the series go on, I don’t want it to shadow the real action.
Besides all this, I really enjoyed this book, Primoria becomes one of my favourite fantasy worlds!
Can someone teleport Ice Like Fire to my room? I need it so bad!
