I can’t believe we are in July 2018, this year has honestly flown by! I have read so many books this year and I thought I might recap on my favourites, how I’m doing with my Goodreads reading challenge and the TBR year challenge I made at the beginning of the year. When I was planning this post, I didn’t really realise how long this book would be. But here is my mini year review for 2018 so far.
Goodreads Reading Challenge:
At the beginning of 2018, I decided I would like to aim to read 60 books by the end of this year. This was because I thought I would be working so much and will be sorting out my coursework for my apprenticeship. But after the past 6 months, I have read nearly my challenge anyway. Currently, I have read 53 out of 60 books.
Now that I am so close to the end of my Goodreads reading challenge, I am thinking of setting my challenge to 80 or 90 books. I might push for 100 books, but I don’t really want to set that as my challenge and then fail it completely. I hope my reading can still be like the way it has been over the past few months so I can complete my goal. Wish me luck!
Year Reading Challenges:
At the end of 2017, I set myself out 15 reading challenges to read throughout 2018. So far I have completed 7 out of 15 challenges.

It is now July and there’s still 6 more months till the end of 2018. I’m excited to see what the rest of the year will bring. Especially for all of the new releases that are coming out at the end of the year. Empire of Ash I’m looking at YOU! I might do one of these for the other half of the year or I might just do a 2018 review like I did for 2017 but I’m not sure yet. What do you think?

As I only read 2 books last year, I set my Goodreads challenge to 12 books. As I read half of it by March, I doubled the challenge, next year, I will try 40. 🙂

I set my original target as 160 and passed it. For a while I left it then decided to extend it. I am now aiming for 250. I am doing a NetGalley challenge that I have also extended but I think next year I will try other challenges too. You’re doing so well, I think 120 is a great target to aim for.

Thank you! I think I’m not ready for 120. Maybe 100 would be a stretch

You are doing great with all of your goals! I always set my Goodreads goal much lower than I think I will read so that there is no pressure. I actually met my goal this week so I will just have fun seeing how many I end up reading this year.

You’ve read so many books already this year. Well done! Some fantastic books on your favourites list. I keep my challenge low so I am sure to reach my target. Don’t want to stress myself out.
